The review
This specialist review followed a non-compliant CQC inspection into risk assessments being recorded on patient care records. Our review involved access to records across multiple Trust sites, to assess the extent of the issues and to provide assurance over controls operating effectively. Our work identified that risk assessments were being undertaken, however were being evidenced on a separate system. The mobilisation of our team and range of testing across several sites enabled us to identify quickly that the issues identified were localised to a single site, thus preventing the Trust from investing in a large scale detailed review. Our findings assured the CQC over arrangements in place, removing further oversight and follow up by the CQC.
