Trainee Internal Auditor – East Anglia

We are preferably looking for a graduate who has some work experience outside of education and is ready to start their career within Internal Audit. Consideration will also be given to non-graduates who have relevant experience and skill sets to adapt to internal audit and the willingness to progress their education in this area.

This opportunity is within our team covering the East Anglia region and will be based from our office in Long Stratton, predominantly working on the clients based around Dereham, Cromer and South Holland, supporting other clients in the Norwich, Long Stratton and Great Yarmouth areas.

At TIAA we are able to provide you with a real career springboard. Our Auditors have to be first and foremost talented individuals with great interpersonal skills, which are adaptable in a variety of business environments. This is an exciting opportunity for those who are analytically minded, innovators and looking for a varied and interesting career.

The ideal candidate will be quick to learn, highly motivated, disciplined, adaptable and with a mature attitude. Strong verbal communication skills are essential as you will be communicating at all levels, often speaking with clients explaining complex information.

The role is to initially assist more senior audit staff in carrying out a wide range of reviews at public and private sector organisations, progressing to undertaking their own audits, with guidance and support, building valuable experience of both internal audit and client business processes.

The reviews carried out are ascertaining whether the processes are operating as intended and identifying opportunities to improve the organisations governance, risk management and management controls. The nature of the reviews will range from organisational risk and governance, financial systems, through to client specific business processes and activities. The role will provide the successful candidate with extensive skills and experience of business operations, from a range of organisations.

At TIAA, we believe in creating a supportive workplace where employees are encouraged to develop their careers. We offer a very competitive package with opportunities for further advancement.
