During a four week period covering 13th June to 8th July, TIAA are undertaking a national initiative, examining the scourge of scams (frauds) that are ever increasingly prevalent, both within the workplace and also our personal lives. This initiative crosses over the campaign being led over a fortnight by Citizens Advice on scam awareness.

One of the events we are hosting is a webinar on Be Scam (Fraud) Savvy!, where our experts will be providing an outline of the most common frauds we are currently seeing, with advice and guidance on how they present themselves, what to look out for and how you can prevent falling victim to them. This is relevant to all sectors and open to all individuals.

This interactive session will provide an opportunity for you to learn from our team and raise awareness across your workplace and outside of work, to ensure that you do not fall victim to these ever sophisticated attempts at defrauding you of your money, data and assets.

Together, we can raise the awareness, so I’d encourage you to share this with your colleagues, family and friends, as these frauds know no boundaries and are targeted indiscriminately.

On the Webinar panel will be;
  • David Foley, Regional Managing Director, TIAA
  • Melanie Alflatt, Director of Anti-Crime Services, TIAA
  • Rachael Tiffen, Director, Cifas Learning & Public Sector
Outline agenda of what the session will entail:
  • The range and types of scams that are prevalent
  • Seasonal and event driven frauds
  • Top five scams to be alert to and how to prevent becoming a victim
  • A Q&A session with our panel of experts
