Are you looking for a sustainable work/life balance? Are you eager to begin your career in Internal Audit and would you like to obtain a professional qualification? Do you want to feel like a valued member of a fantastic team? If so, TIAA Ltd is seeking a Trainee Internal Auditor to join its North East team on a permanent, full-time basis.

Our internal audit team has been established for more than 20 years and is central to the caring service we offer our clients. We never forget that at the centre of any audit and behind all the figures and spreadsheets are real people – patients, students, tenants, or customers. As such, our teams are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work. Acting with integrity and understanding and using their expert knowledge to improve people’s lives.

The role:

Internal Audit is utilised by our clients to help them maintain a strong governance and risk management framework. It helps identify operational risk and leads to businesses strengthening and growing. If you want a career in accounting and finance, this may not be the role for you, however, if you have an analytical mind and want to play an important hand in helping other businesses succeed then this could be perfect!

As a Trainee Internal Auditor, you will be supporting your team in carrying out internal audit reviews for a wide range of public and private sector organizations. The reviews carried out are to ascertain whether the processes are operating as intended and to identify opportunities to operate more effectively.

We will give you all the support you need to help you gain your professional qualifications and succeed in your career. The opportunities for progression within the company are endless. In return, we ask for a driven, hard-working individual who is passionate about providing excellent service to our clients.

Requirements:

You will receive all the tools you need to succeed as an Internal Auditor. No matter your background, depth of experience, or education level, we’re keen to explore your suitability with TIAA Ltd. All we ask is for you to have the right mind-set and a strong interest in the world of Internal Audit

The key elements our Internal Auditors have are:

  • Strong written skills
  • An analytical mind
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent time-keeping and organisational skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels (both orally and in writing).
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK.

It would be a benefit to have a full UK driving licence. It may also be necessary to stay away from home from time to time due to the geographical location of clients.

Why join TIAA Ltd?

  • Starting salary of £23,303
  • Fully supported training scheme allowing you to obtain your IIA qualification
  • 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Hybrid working options
  • Flexi-hours allowing a perfect work/life balance
  • An electric/hybrid car salary sacrifice scheme
  • Regular appraisal processes with unlimited progression opportunities
  • Social initiatives to keep connected in a remote working world

We have a “can do” spirit rather than an absolute target-driven regime and we care about each of our individual experts and are there right behind them to offer advice, support and training. We believe in giving you the autonomy and recognition to drive your own success. Whether you are just starting out in your career or have the experience to confidently manage your own area, we want to help you realise your potential because we care.
