We’re pleased to announce that TIAA has successfully achieved ISO 14001 accreditation, the internationally recognised standard for environmental management systems.
This accreditation confirms that we have robust, effective processes in place to manage and reduce our environmental impact. For TIAA, this is an important milestone that reflects both our operational maturity and our long‑term commitment to responsible business practices.
ISO 14001 replaces our legacy Green Dragon standard, marking a clear step forward in the rigour and structure of our environmental approach. Our long‑standing work under the Green Dragon framework provided a strong foundation, making the transition to an internationally recognised standard a natural progression. Moving to ISO 14001 strengthens how we identify, manage and continually improve our environmental performance.
We’re particularly proud that the assessment exceeded expectations, with no follow‑up visit required. This outcome is a strong reflection of the quality, consistency and embedding of our environmental management processes across the business.
As a Certified B Corporation, this achievement aligns closely with our wider purpose. B Corp certification commits us to balancing commercial success with positive impact for people, communities and the environment. Achieving ISO 14001 reinforces that commitment, providing independent assurance that our environmental aspirations are supported by robust governance and practical action.
This accreditation matters because it:
- Strengthens our credibility with clients, partners and stakeholders
- Supports sustainable, responsible growth
- Reinforces our position as a forward‑looking organisation committed to continuous improvement
As both a B Corp and an ISO 14001 accredited organisation, we remain focused on making a positive, measurable difference — not just through what we deliver for our clients, but through how we operate as a responsible business.
