This month, a group of enthusiastic TIAA volunteers took part in a meaningful initiative called “Feed the 500”, held at the iconic Borough Market in London.
The event brought together volunteers from across our teams to prepare a three-course meal in bulk, which was then distributed by a network of local partners to individuals and families experiencing food poverty in the South East London area.
Working side by side, our team formed a high-performing production line—grating, chopping, rolling, filling, and wrapping their way through five hours of food preparation. It was a fantastic display of teamwork, energy, and community spirit.
And while they didn’t get stuck into the washing up (thanks to a risk assessment that deemed them insufficiently skilled or qualified for the task!), we were proud to contribute to such a well-organised and impactful event.
This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to giving back to the community and supporting causes that make a real difference. A huge thank you to everyone who took part.
